Second Vocational Skills Competition was held in Jishou

On September 3, the second Vocational Skills Competition was held in Xiangxi Tea Expo Park, Majin’ao Town, Jishou City, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, with nearly 50 contestants competing.
At the site, participants showed their solid basic skills in the whole process of tea making, including spreading, water removing, shaping, drying and cooling. During the stir-frying process, the green and tender tea leaves gradually turned bluish yellow, and slowly rolled and shrank.

The output of dry tea reached 1,680 tons last year, achieving a comprehensive output value of more than 1.2 billion yuan. The tea industry has become a pillar industry for rural revitalization.
